Neighborhood Electric Vehicles

A neighborhood electric vehicle is a speed limited battery electric vehicle. Neighborhood electric vehicles are limited to a top speed of 25 mph and are designed for town and city use on low speed streets. You can't take neighborhood electric vehicles on to highways. The main advantage of neighborhood electric vehicles over other electric vehicles is their initial cost. They are very cheap because they typically use lead acid batteries. Like other electric vehicles the neighborhood electric vehicles are also have very low running costs. They do have low ranges but this isn't such a big issue because they are only designed for local neighborhood use anyway.
